IQ risk: highly-skillED Risk Expertise

IQ Risk is a specialist service area within The IQ Business Group that provides independent risk management services to South African banks, government institutions, audit firms and a host of large corporate and retail firms.

Risk management is about addressing the uncertainty that persons and companies face. By formalising the integration of the management of uncertainty with business planning, organisations are able to minimise not just extreme losses but also manage their businesses more effectively.

IQ Risk’s main aim is to assist clients in identifying their exposures to key commercial risks and provide proactive solutions to measure, manage and optimise such exposures. We consult to the entire risk management framework and, incorporating the project management and business consultant process-centric services of the wider IQ Group, provide much broader skills and services than a traditional actuarial, audit or risk consultant could.

Although we do provide specialist standalone services in specific areas if required, we prefer to apply a multidisciplinary range of skills to address situations holistically. We aim to provide an end-to-end solution for a client, whether it is in response to an advisory or a process requirement.

Why IQ Risk?

While many challenges we address are highly specialised in nature, our point of departure is always the business context, and we bring the full spectrum of our skills base to bear in providing the best solution. Our team of specialists has established an enviable track record of successful, solution-based project work, addressing a wide range of functional, product-focused, organisational and technology-related financial risk management issues.
